Just checked the time for the premiere in my neck of the woods. 7PM. Wow, that's mightly early--it means that it will be on at 6PM in British Columbia, right in kiddie viewing time. Good thing I checked, I'd been assuming they'd split the difference and show it at 10PM in the east, making it 8PM for me and 7PM for British Columbia. Now, it's good that SPACE want's to show it at the height of prime time in the east, but it makes for some odd air times in western time zones.
Occasionally, I worry that I might be making SG-1 characters too funtional after injuries, getting themselves out of situations when they would really be unconcious. I'm going to stop worrying about that now. From a news story out of Florida that appeared today:

FRUITLAND PARK, Fla. -- A woman riding on a motorcycle in Lake County Thursday night was thrown into a lake and swam to shore after her leg was severed in a three-car crash, according to authorities."
If I'd written that in a story, I'd really be questioning it's believability. Clearly not a problem. On the other hand, next time I read about one of the characters wilting like a flower over a relatively minor injury or illness....

Happy Birthday to Aurora Novarum! I hope you had a lovely day and will have an even better night.
Uh.... Your birthday story will be a little late, even though Redbyrd did a heroic job of beta-ing on the same day it should be posted (which I did not even realize I was asking her to do as I thought the first was on saturday. I won't even tell you what happened to my bank account this morning that led to the discovery that today was, in fact, the first. *Sigh*) Anyhoo, now that I have these dandy suggestions for improvement, I think I'll use them, so.... Lateness. ;)
In any case, many happy returns, rejoicing, and best wishes!

I don't know about you guys, but I have a heck of a time coming up with names. Name generators to the rescue! These ones are for both regular type names (complete with generated addresses and SIN numbers) and fantasy names appropriate for offworld characters. There's even an option for names with apostrophes, a percentage of which are good for Jaffa! Whew! I needed that! Names are the hardest thing to come up with after awesome last lines. ;)

Here's your birthday present, Fig, an illustration for 'Bittersweet'. I was really stymied by the very poor quality of all the images from this episode, so, I'm going to keep working at it, but here's what I have so far. The first one is larger than the other two, I've just resized it for display on the page. It can be any size you want:
